Big Win Gets Bucs Back in Top 20

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers rose three spots in the latest NJCAA Top 25 Rankings on Monday, moving up to #20 after a pair of Southern Conference wins last week.

The Bucs are 17-4 overall and have won 9 of their last 10 contests while remaining perfect in Southern Conference play at 5-0.  All three of the Bucs losses to NJCAA schools this season have come to teams ranked inside the Top 25 this week in #3 Northwest Florida State, #9 South Georgia Tech, and # 22 Gulf Coast State. 

The top six teams in the week 11 poll remained the same this week with undefeated Three Rivers remaining at #1 and Shelton State, Northwest Florida, Georgia Highlands, Southern Idaho, and Western Nebraska following in behind them. It was a record breaking week for the FCSAA this week in the poll as six Florida squads made their way into the Top 25. Northwest Florida led the way at #3 followed by Chipola at #13, Eastern Florida at #18, FSW at #20, Gulf Coast at #22, and Pensacola at #25. 

The Bucs are back in action on Wednesday when they travel across Alligator Alley to take on Miami Dade in Southern Conference action and will step out of conference play on Saturday when they go up to Gainesville to take on Santa Fe in an afternoon contest.
