Bucs Check In at #23 in Week 10 Poll

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- For the first time in nearly a month, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers' movement in the NJCAA National Poll was South instead of North as the Bucs dropped five spots in the rankings to #23 after a loss to South Georgia Tech on Thursday.

The Bucs are 15-4 overall after splitting a pair of games on the road last week against #13 South Georgia Tech and St. Petersburg.  They remain unbeaten at 3-0 after one round of Southern Conference play.

For the first time this season there is a new team on top of the rankings as Three Rivers takes over the top spot followed by Shelton State, Northwest Florida, Georgia Highlands, and Southern Idaho. The Bucs are one of five FCSAA teams in the poll with Northwest Florida leading the way at #3, Pensacola checking in at #13, Chipola #15, and Eastern Florida at #21.

The Bucs have a busy week ahead with two big Southern Conference games on the slate as they travel to Tampa to take on Hillsborough Wednesday before returning home for a showdown with Indian River Saturday afternoon in Suncoast Arena.
