SWANNANOA, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers earned their 10th win of the season Wednesday night in North Carolina, defeating Warren Wilson 74-50 to wrap up their trip to the Tar Heel State.

FSW came out on fire, lighting up the scoreboard for 26 first quarter points and shooting 67% from the floor to take a 26-7 lead after one quarter of action.

The pace slowed down in the second for the Bucs, but their defense continued to make plays, holding the Owls to just two second quarter field goals to extend lead to 36-10 midway through the quarter.  They traded baskets with the Owls for the final five minutes of the period, taking a 41-14 lead at the end of 20 minutes of action.

A long jumper from Geovana Rios four minutes into the third gave the Bucs a 50-15 lead, but Warren Wilson connected on a pair of three pointers on back to back possessions to keep FSW from extending their lead any further.  At the end of three it was 57-28 FSW.

The Bucs got sloppy with the basketball in the fourth, turning it over six times, while the Owls got hot and nearly doubled their production from the first three quarters in the final 10 minutes, but FSW's cushion was easily enough to absorb the mini-run as the Bucs finished off a 74-50 victory for their 10th win of the season.

The Bucs shot an even 50% from the field in the win but didn't connect on a single three pointer, going 0-11 from distance.  All 12 players dressed for the Bucs made a field goal in the win with A'Moni Waiters, Patience Williams, and Tyshun Bryson all reaching double figures.

FSW improves to 10-4 on the year with the win while Warren Wilson falls to 1-6.

The Bucs return home from their Spring Break trip on Saturday when they head across the state to begin the third round of Southern Conference play with a matinee date with Palm Beach State in Lake Worth.
