FORT MYERS, Fla.- The #19 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers picked up their sixth win of the season Tuesday night in Suncoast Credit Union Arena, blowing past New Horizons Prep 78-41.

The game was never in question as the Bucs raced out to an early 8-0 lead and extended their lead to 18-6 after one as Quadijah Moore got a steal and scored in transition to close out the quarter.

A three from Sheslanie Laureano and a jumper from Tashun Bryson got the second quarter started for FSW and the Bucs took a 26-8 lead when Laureano hit another one from deep with 6:54 to go in the half.  The Bucs went through a mini drought as the quarter came to the close but took a comfortable 37-19 lead into the break at half.

Tyshonne Tollie connected from distance to push the Bucs lead to 20 early in the third and it ballooned to 30 midway through the period when Sariana Rodriguez got in on the three point parade.  With the Bucs doubling up New Horizons late in the third 54-27, FSW went on a 10-1 run to blow the game wide open to 64-28 as the teams went to the fourth.

The Bucs bench carried them in the fourth as Kesha White and Geovana Rios each picked up a pair of buckets as FSW finished off a 78-41 win.

The Bucs shot 39% in the game, but held New Horizons to just 21% from the field and forced 17 turnovers which they turned into 19 points on the night. 13 different players scored in the game for FSW led by Laureano who had 13 points and Moore who finished with 10 points and 5 rebounds.

FSW improves to 6-2 on the year with the victory and will be back in action on Saturday on the road at #23 Indian River in a key Southern Conference battle with the Pioneers in Fort Pierce.
