Bucs Move Back Into Top 10

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- A road win over Daytona State on Wednesday has pushed the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers back into the top 10 of the NJCAA National Rankings as the Bucs move to #9 this week as announced by the National Office on Monday. 

The win over the Falcons moved the Bucs to 3-2 on the year with their only two losses coming to the unanimous #1 team in the country, Gulf Coast State. 

The top seven in the poll remained unchanged and unbeaten, combining for a 34-0 record thus far.  Gulf Coast leading the way, South Plains at #2, Trinity Valley at #3, Northwest Florida State at #5, Seward County at #5 and Shelton State and Hutchinson rounding out that group.  Four teams from the Sunshine State are in the poll, all residing in the top 12 with the aforementioned Gulf Coast Commodores in the top spot, Northwest Florida at #5, FSW at #9, and Chipola at #12.

FSW now prepares to head to Midland, Texas where they will battle an elite field at the Midland WNIT Tournament.  The Bucs will open with 7-0 Hill in the first round on Thursday, followed by a matchup with either #3 Trinity Valley, or #23 Odessa on Friday. They will also play on Saturday against an opponent to be announced.  The rest of the field includes #5 Seward County, #13 Midland, #19 Salt Lake, and Kilgore.
