CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers held their spot at #3 in the NJCAA Division I National Softball Poll once again this week as released by the National Office on Monday.
The Bucs were 5-1 last week, sweeping doubleheaders from State College of Florida and Santa Fe and splitting with #7 Central Florida on the road Thursday. FSW now sits at 27-3 overall and is in a three way tie atop the Citrus Conference standings with both #5 Indian River and #7 Central Florida at 14-2.
McLennan, off to a 34-0 start to the season remains in the top spot in the poll with Northwest Florida one spot ahead of FSW at #2. The four other Florida squads in the poll all dropped this week as Indian River, Central Florida and Gulf Coast moved down one spot to #5, #7, and #10 respectively while Seminole State tumbled three spots to #16. Santa Fe entered the rankings for the first time at #20 to give the Sunshine State seven representatives in the week four poll.
The Bucs will be back in action at home on Tuesday when they host Hillsborough in a conference doubleheader beginning at 2 PM.
