Iamurri & Company Named NFCA Coaching Staff of the Year

LOUISVILLE, Ky.- For the second time in three seasons, Florida SouthWestern Head Coach Robert Iamurri and his staff have been named the NFCA National Coaching Staff of the Year as announced by the NFCA Wednesday.

Iamurri and company led the Bucs to their third straight NJCAA National Championship this season, posting a 54-5 overall record including a perfect 8-0 run through the postseason. The Bucs notched their first trifecta in program history in 2023, winning the Southern Conference, FCSAA State, and NJCAA National Championships all in the same season. It wasn't easy sledding by any stretch of the imagination for the Bucs who played one of the most difficult schedules in the country according to the Massey Ratings. FSW defeated 18 ranked squads along the way in 2023 including six Top 10 ranked foes in their final seven games during their run to the National Championship.

The numbers for the Bucs during their three year Championship run are nearly comprehendible as FSW has gone 159-15 overall while going 50-2 in conference play and 17-1 at the NJCAA World Series.

It marks the second time in three seasons that the FSW staff has garnered National Coaching Staff of the Year accolades after also winning the award following their 2021 Championship season.
