Poot Named FCSAA Player of the Week After Big Day Against Hawks

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- After clubbing three home runs and driving in nine in a doubleheader Friday against Hillsborough, Florida SouthWestern State sophomore Feline Poot has been named the FCSAA Player of the Week. 

Poot led the Bucs to a doubleheader sweep of the Hawks Friday, powering FSW to 18-8 and 13-4 run rule wins to remain unbeaten in Suncoast Conference play.  In game one of the twinbill she was 2-4 with a homer and four RBIs while in game two she was a perfect 4-4 with a pair of home runs and five runs driven home. 

The 2021 All-American leads the Bucs with eight home runs and 40 RBIs on the year while hitting .472 and slugging a team high .854. 

Poot and the Bucs are back in action tonight at City of Palms Park in Downtown Fort Myers when they host Suncoast Conference rival State College of Florida in a doubleheader beginning at 5 PM.
