Bucs Get Top 25 Nod For Sixth Straight Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- For the sixth straight week, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers will have a number next to their name when they take the court in Citrus Conference action next as Monday the Bucs checked in at #25 in the NJCAA National Rankings announced by the National Office.

It was a light schedule for the Bucs last week as their only contest came in a Top 25 battle with #14 Eastern Florida in Suncoast Arena on Wednesday. Unfortunately for the Bucs, they picked a bad night to have an off night as a red hot Titans squad took it to them from the tip to the tune of an 81-66 final to drop the Bucs to 17-6 on the year.

The lone remaining unbeaten in the Division I ranks, South Plains garnered all 14 first place votes in the Week 11 poll with Barton, Daytona State, Vincennes, and Triton following them to round out the Top 5.  Once again the FCSAA was well represented with Daytona at #3, Northwest Florida at #6, Eastern Florida at #13 and Chipola and FSW at #18 and #25 respectively.

The Bucs will try to get back on track with a pair of conference matchups this week as they take on Hillsborough Tuesday at 7 PM in Tampa before returning home Saturday to take on Polk State in a 2 PM tip off from Suncoast Arena.
