Tracey Leads Five Bucs On All-Southern Conference Team

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- Jadrian Tracey, Bradley Douglas, and Tyson Brown led five Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers named to the Southern Conference Men's Basketball All-Conference Team on Friday.

The Bucs top vote getter was sophomore Jadrian Tracey who was one of three 1st Team All-Conference selections for the Bucs.  Tracey was unstoppable down the stretch, scoring 18 or more points in each of the Bucs last seven games of the season including five 20 point performances and a 34 point effort against State College of Florida to all but punch FSW's ticket to the postseason. Overall he averaged 16.8 points in league play while shooting a team best 45% from the three point line.

Fellow backcourt mate Bradley Douglas joined Tracey on the 1st Team, averaging 13.5 points and 2.1 assists per game despite being hobbled by a nagging injury.  Douglas scoring 15 or more points five times in conference play including a 32 point outburst in a key early season win over Indian River. It is the third straight season for Douglas to be named a 1st Team All-Conference pick after earning the award in the Mid-Florida Conference the past two seasons.

The Bucs third 1st Team selection was big man Tyson Brown. Brown averaged a double-double in conference action, putting up 11.2 points and 10.2 rebounds per game for FSW while also erasing 2.1 shots per game in the paint.  He topped the 15 point mark four times and 10 or more rebounds on six occasions.

A pair of newcomers were named to the 2nd Team All-Conference squad.  Coming on strong late in the season, Dezdrick Lindsay was the lone FSW freshman honored, finishing conference play averaging 11.2 points per game.  He upped his career high in scoring in five straight games to close the regular season including a 27 point performance in the Bucs clinching game against Hillsborough.

Joining Lindsay on the 2nd Team is sophomore forward Jemal Davis who averaging 7.5 points and 3.6 rebounds in 11 conference contests. An energy guy for the Bucs, Davis scored in double figures three times in conference play including a 14 point performance against Miami Dade.

The Bucs begin their run in the postseason on Thursday when they travel to Niceville, Florida to participate in the FCSAA State Tournament.  The Bucs first round matchup is a daunting one as they take on #7 Tallahassee at 4:00 PM (EST) with a trip to the semifinals on the line.
