Selebangue Tabbed FCSAA Player of the Week

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- Four days after putting up a career high 25 points and tying a program record with 17 rebounds in a win over Illinois Central, Florida SouthWestern big man Bryant Selebangue has been named the FCSAA Player of the Week as announced by the state on Tuesday.

Selebangue averaged 19 points and 14.5 rebounds for the Bucs in a pair of games over the break.  He shot 70% from the field in the two contests and also added 5 steals on the defensive end.  Before the holiday he put up a 13 point, 12 rebound double-double for the Bucs in an overtime win over former Suncoast Conference rival Polk State to wrap up the first half for FSW.  He came out of the break even more charged up, going for a career high 25 points and tying a program record with 17 board in a Bucs victory over Illinois Central. 

Selebangue is averaging a double-double for FSW through 14 contests this season, putting up 14 points and 10 rebounds per game while shooting 65% from the field . He leads the state of Florida in rebounding and is currently third in the state in field goal percentage. 

Selebangue is the first Buc to earn Player of the Week honors this season and the first since fellow double-double machine Jermaine Marshall was bestowed the honors in February of 2020. 

Selebangue and the Bucs are back in action tonight as they take on 212 Academy in their final non-conference tune up of the season at 7 PM in Suncoast Arena.
