Bucs Keep Lock on #1 Spot For Third Straight Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Earning 397 points in the week 10 NJCAA Top 25 poll, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained the #1 team in the country for the third straight week as announced by the NJCAA Tuesday afternoon. 

FSW earned 14 of 16 possible votes for the top spot this week with #2 Vincennes picking up the other two.  Coffevyille and Northwest Florida State remained at #3 and #4 with Ranger the newcomer in the top five at #5.  It was a shakeup at 6-10 with Casper the only team holding their spot in that group at #10.  The two newcomers to the poll, Cochise and Eastern Florida State, were tied at #23 with 39 points. 

Six of the top 25 teams in week 10 are from the Sunshine State with the Bucs and Northwest Florida leading the way, followed by #16 Chipola, #22 Daytona State, the aforementioned Titans of Eastern Florida State, and #25 Tallahassee. 

The Bucs' 25 wins are the most in the country to this point.  They will debut as the Suncoast Conference Champions in front of their home crowd in Suncoast Credit Union Arena on Wednesday when they take on Hillsborough in a 7:30 PM tipoff.
