FSW men’s basketball rising sophomores Tyler Cheese, Shanquan Hemphill, Anthony Murphy and Tremell Murphy have been invited to Mullen’s JC Top 100 Camp, a premier invitation-only showcase of some of the nations’ top junior college basketball prospects. FSW is one of two JUCOs in the country (Eastern Florida) to have four players invited to the camp.
A total of 12 FSW baseball student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play at the next level and continue their collegiate careers. Davie Inman, Enrique Ferrer, JD Dutka, John O’Connor, Thomas Pipolo, Walfrank Pineiro, Jordan Pinto and Kyle Arjona all will continue their playing careers at the NCAA Division I level, while Ian Kimbrell, Jonathan Cosme and Thomas Reddin will compete at the NCAA Division II level. Jett Swetland is the lone former Buc to move on to NAIA.
FSW sophomore left-handed pitcher Brandon Presley has officially signed a contract with the Milwaukee Brewers after being selected in the 22nd round (654th overall) of the 2017 MLB Draft in June. Presley, the 28th player in FSW Baseball program history (including Edison Community College) to be drafted to the MLB, will now report to the Helena Brewers (Montana) of the Pioneer League.
Head Coach Kristie Ward has announced the addition of Amber Howell to the FSW women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach. Howell replaces Stephanie Edwards, who took the same position at her alma mater Jacksonville University.
