Lopez returns for his seventh season of work with the Bucs in 2022-23.  

In his six seasons at FSW, the Bucs have gone 134-40, winning three Suncoast Conference Championships and a pair of Southern Conference Championships, and making a pair of appearances at the NJCAA National Tournament.  17 players have been named First Team All-Conference and 15 have signed at Division I programs.  

A native of Caguas, Puerto Rico, Lopez has called Fort Myers home for 20 years. He has strong ties to the Puerto Rican basketball infrastructure and will look to help the Bucs as they stretch their recruiting efforts internationally.

Lopez founded the Youth Development Basketball League, a non-profit organization that helps develop local talent in Southwest Florida. He’s also served as an assistant coach for the Dashuh/Dashim AAU program (2014-16) and Gateway Charter HS (2012-16).
