TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- Following an outstanding freshman season for the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers, Makenna Shaffer has been named to the FCSAA All-State Team.
Shaffer put up 12.0 points and 7.8 rebounds per game for the Bucs this season, playing in all 30 and starting 28 contests as a freshman. She scored in double figures 20 times on the season and had three 20 point efforts on the year including a 21 point, 11 rebound double-double in a Citrus Conference win against Miami Dade, one of five double-doubles for her on the season.
Shaffer and the Bucs finished the 2023-2024 season 16-14 overall, qualifying for the FCSAA State Tournament where they fell to eventual champion Northwest Florida in the first round.
