Shaffer, Lester Lead Four Bucs On All-Conference Teams
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- Following a 4th place finish in the conference standings, a quartet of Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers have been named to the inaugural Citrus Conference All-Conference team as announced by the league Friday. 
 
Leading the way was a pair of freshmen in Makenna Shaffer and Ashley Lester who were both named 1st Team All-Conference selections. 
 
Shaffer led the Bucs with both 12.3 points and  8.0 rebounds per game during the regular season.  She scored in double figures 13 times for the Bucs in Citrus Conference action, including a pair of 21 point efforts against Miami Dade and Santa Fe. 
 
Lester was right behind Shaffer putting up 12.1 points per game on the year. She knocked down 75 three pointers during the regular season which led the Citrus Conference and is second most in a single season in FSW history. 
 
The Bucs also had a pair of 2nd Team All-Conference picks in guards Kiana Wilson and Lisa Le Roy
 
Wilson earns 2nd Team honors for the second straight season after putting up 10.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game for the Bucs as a sophomore. She shot 48% from the field during conference play and scored in double figures in 14 different contests. 
 
Le Roy averaged 6.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game playing in all 29 regular season games. She scored 10 or more in three conference contests with her conference high coming with 12 on 4 of 8 shooting against eventual Citrus Conference Champion Eastern Florida. 
 
Eastern Florida swept the conference's superlative awards with Amelia Hassett earning Citrus Conference Player of the Year and MJ Baker taking home Coach of the Year honors. 
 
The Bucs will be back in action at the FCSAA State Tournament on Thursday when they take on hosts and defending National Champions Northwest Florida in the first round in a 2 PM (ET) start from Raider Arena.
