Bucs' Collier Signs at Dillard

FORT MYERS, FLA.- Florida SouthWestern State guard Janira Collier has signed at Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Collier returns home to the Pelican state after playing in 58 games over the past two seasons for the Buccaneers. She helped FSW to a 56-10 record in her two seasons in Fort Myers, helping the Bucs capture a pair of Suncoast Conference Championships while making their first appearance at the NJCAA National Tournament in March.  She made 12 starts for the Bucs, including their FCSAA State Tournament opener against Broward and both of FSW's game at the National Tournament.

She joins a Dillard squad coming off of a National Tournament appearance of their own.  The Lady Bleu Devils were 21-12 this season, winning their second straight GCAC Tournament Championship while making another trip to the NAIA National Tournament.

Collier's signing makes the fourth Buc sophomore to sign at the next level, joining Tina Stephens (Kansas), Tonysha Curry (Stetson), and Taylor Williams (Christian Brothers).
