Bucs Up One Spot In National Poll After 6-0 Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers moved back into the #3 spot in the NJCAA National rankings on Monday after going 6-0 overall and 4-0 against Top 15 ranked opponents last week.

FSW had a big week on the diamond, dominating State College of Florida 4-2 and 12-0 in a road sweep Tuesday before returning home to outscore #8 Central Florida and #14 Santa Fe 26-4 to sweep a pair of doubleheaders at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers.  The Bucs are now 45-5 overall and 32-4 in Citrus Conference play where they control their own destiny in their run to a ninth consecutive conference championship.

The Bucs flip flop with Indian River at #3 and #4 was the lone change in the top eight this week.  McLennan continues to lead the way with Northwest Florida second followed by FSW and Indian River and then Temple rounding out the top five.

FSW is back in action on Tuesday on the road in Tampa when they take on Hillsborough in a doubleheader beginning at 4 PM.
