Bucs Stay Steady at #3 in National Rankings

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained the #3 team in the land on Monday as for the sixth straight week FSW landed in the third spot in the NJCAA National Poll.

FSW is 34-4 overall and 21-3 in Citrus Conference play where they sit a game ahead of Indian River with one month left to go in the regular season. Last week the Bucs went a perfect 4-0 with sweeps over Miami Dade and Polk State, outscoring their opponents 24-4 during the stretch.

The top eight teams in the poll remained unchanged this week with McLennan, Northwest Florida, and FSW continuing to lead the way with Indian River and Walters State rounding out the top five. Other FCSAA squads in the poll included #10 Central Florida, #12 Gulf Coast State, and #14 Santa Fe.

The Bucs are back in action on Tuesday when they head up the coast to Clearwater to take on St. Petersburg in doubleheader action beginning at 3 PM. They return home on Thursday when they host Seminole State in a twinbill with first pitch set for 2 PM.
