FORT MYERS, Fla.- Emily Allegood put together one of the most impressive individual performances in FSW history on Sunday as she hit a three run inside the park home run in an 11-3 Buccaneer win in game one of their doubleheader with the Alverno Inferno before throwing a no-hitter in the circle and collecting three hits including two triples at the plate in a 14-0 game two win to push the Bucs to 13-1 on the year.

The Bucs took the early lead in game one as Kmari Williams found a hole in center for an RBI single and then teamed up with Maddy Golka for a perfectly executed double steal to give FSW a 2-0 lead at the end of two innings of action.

Alverno struck back in the 4th as they used a leadoff walk and an FSW error to set the table before a double down the line and a single up the middle accompanied by another Buccaneer error allowed them to score three times and take a 3-2 lead midway through.

The Bucs answered right away, loading the bases with one out in the bottom of the 4th before Mia Terito drove a run home with an infield single and Sydney McCray walked to put FSW back in front 4-3. They weren't done yet though as Sietske Drijvers lined a single the other way to drive home two and make it a 6-3 game and Emily Allegood blistered a ball up the middle and all the way to the wall, motoring around for a three run, inside the park home run to put FSW up 9-3 at the end of four complete innings.

Bucs reliever Esmee Ames struck out the side around a couple of walks in the top of the 5th to keep it a 9-3 game and quickly get the Bucs bats back at the plate in the bottom half.

After two quick outs in the bottom of the 5th McCray worked a walk and scored on a triple from Katey McGee and McGee herself scored when the Inferno hit her with their throw in, causing the ball to ricochet away far enough for her to trot home to kick in the run rule with FSW taking game one 11-3.

Eight different Bucs had hits in the win with Drijvers the only FSW hitter to finish with two while also driving in two runs. Ames earned her fifth win of the season out of the FSW bullpen, going two shutout innings and allowing just one hit while striking out five to move to 5-1 on the year.

In game two the Bucs jumped on the Inferno right off the bat as McCray used her wheels for a bunt single, advanced to second on an Alverno error and then scored all the way from second on a wild pitch to put the Bucs ahead 1-0. three batters later Allegood sliced a two run triple down the line to make it 3-0 and FSW piled on three more before the inning was over to make it 6-0 Bucs at the end of one.

Alverno loaded the bases with one out in the 2nd without the benefit of a hit, but Allegood worked her way out of the jam, stabbing a line drive and then picking up a strikeout to end it and keep the Bucs in front 6-0.

Allegood was back at it with the bat in the bottom of the inning as Skylar Brennan doubled to the backside gap to lead off the frame and then scored when Allegood went to right for her second triple in as many trips to make it 7-0. Later in the inning Virginia Mambelli singled through the right side to drive Allegood home to make it 8-0 and Mia Terito hooked a double down the line to plate her to cushion the lead to 9-0 after two.

Allegood continued to do it all, starting a 1-6-3 double play to end the top of the 3rd and get the Bucs right back to the plate to look for more.

More they got as Mambelli laced an RBI double to right followed by an RBI single to left from Jenna Teakert to make it 11-0, but the big blow came off the bat of Terito who launched a three run home run deep and out to left to pad the lead to 14-0 for FSW.

For the first time in the game, both teams went scoreless in the 4th and to the 5th they went with the Bucs leading it 14-0.

There wasn't much left to wonder with the Bucs leading it by two touchdowns in the 5th and the run rule looming, but there was a special feat that was three outs from being finished as despite Alverno having traffic in each inning, Allegood had yet to allow the Inferno to pick up a hit in the contest.

Allegood struck out the first hitter she faced and then fielded a grounder back to herself for the second out of the inning. The Inferno flipped their lineup over, but it didn't matter as Allegood got a groundout to first to end it and seal the Bucs first no-hitter since the first game in Buccaneers Park history in 2023.

Allegood was the story, firing a five inning no-hitter while striking out five for her first collegiate win in the circle. She was equally as impressive at the plate, going a perfect 3-3 with a pair of triples and three RBIs.  Terito got in on the fun, going 2-2 with a double, a homer, and four RBIs while Mambelli was 2-3 with a double while driving in a pair and scoring three runs.

FSW improves to 13-1 on the year with the sweep while Alverno starts their 2024 campaign 0-2.

The Bucs now turn the page to Citrus Conference action where they have a busy opening week of conference play.  Tuesday they will host St. Petersburg at Buccaneers Park in a 1 PM doubleheader before going on the road Thursday to #13 Seminole State and wrapping up the week with a 1 PM doubleheader at home against Daytona State.
