Rivera Headed to Keiser

FORT MYERS, FLA.- After helping Florida SouthWestern State to a 107-8 record over the past two seasons, sophomore Elsie Rivera has signed to play next season at Keiser University in West Palm Beach. 

Rivera played in 84 games over the past two seasons for the Buccaneers, compiling a .321 career average with 11 doubles and 48 RBI's.  This season Rivera came up big in the clutch a number of times for FSW, recording 24 RBI's in just 59 official at bats.  Also a star in the classroom, Rivera was a member of both the Suncoast Conference and FCSAA All-Academic Teams as a freshman a year ago. 

She will join a Seahawks squad coming off of a 27-21 campaign in  which they went 13-11 in Sun Conference action.
