Four Bucs Land On All-Citrus Conference Squads
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- A quartet of Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were honored by the Citrus Conference on Friday as Dezdrick Lindsay, Jaehshon Thomas, Tyrone Baker, and AJ Hopkins were named to the inaugural Citrus Conference All-Conference teams. 
 
After earning 2nd Team All-Conference accolades as a freshman last season, Dezdrick Lindsay was named a 1st Team All-Conference pick as a sophomore this season. Lindsay put up 18.5 points per game in conference action which ranked 5th in the league while shooting 53% from the field and 44% from the three point line in the process. 
 
Joining Lindsay on the 1st Team was fellow sophomore guard Jaehshon Thomas.  Thomas came up huge for FSW in Citrus Conference action, scoring 18.3 points per game in league play which ranked 6th in the conference right behind Lindsay. He shot 56% from the field and 45% from three in conference play, both of which ranked in the top five in the league. 
 
The Bucs also had two 2nd Team selections as sophomores Tyrone Baker and AJ Hopkins picked up nods there. 
 
Baker upped his season production nearly four points a game in conference action, averaging 15.8 per night while shooting 61% from the field and 43% from distance.  He scored in double figures in 11 of 13 conference tilts including each of the final eight he played in. 
 
Rounding out the bunch was Hopkins who averaged 10.4 points per game while shooting 45% from three in 16 conference contests. Hopkins made a living from the perimiter where he knocked down 45 threes in conference play which was the fourth most of any Citrus Conference sniper. 
 
Eastern Florida's Owen Aquino was named the conference's Player of the Year while the Titans Jeremy Shulman and Daytona State's Joey Cantens earned Co-Coach of the Year honors. 
 
The Bucs will be back in action on Wednesday when they make the long trip to Niceville for the FCSAA State Tournament where they will take on 9th ranked Northwest Florida in the opening game at 9 PM (ET).
