Lindsay Named FCSAA Player of the Week For Second Time in '24

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- For the second time this season, Florida SouthWestern sophomore Dezdrick Lindsay has been named the FCSAA Player of the Week, announced in a state release on Tuesday.

Lindsay put up back to back monster games for the Bucs last week. Wednesday, he came off the FSW bench to pour in 30 points on 12-18 shooting while also grabbing 13 rebounds in a thrilling 97-93 win over Indian River at home in Suncoast Arena.  Saturday he was a scoring machine once again, finishing with a career high 38 points on 15-22 from the field in a 109-106 overtime loss to #4 Daytona State on the road. For the week, Lindsay averaged 34.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game while shooting 68% from the field for FSW.

Lindsay has led the Bucs to a 17-5 record this season, leading FSW in both scoring at 17.1 points per game and rebounding at 7.5 a contest.  He has raised his game to another level in Citrus Conference play where he has guided FSW to the top spot in the league standings at 7-1 midway through while putting up 22.3 points per game on 58% shooting from the field and a lights out 56% from three point range.

Lindsay and the Bucs are back home on Wednesday when they host a huge conference matchup with #14 Eastern Florida in Suncoast Arena at 7 PM.
