Buc to Duck, Lindsay Signs With Oregon
FORT MYERS, Fla.- The pipeline from the Southeast to the Northwest for the FSW Men's Basketball program will continue this season as sophomore guard Dezdrick Lindsay has signed with the University of Oregon where he will follow in the footsteps of current Duck guards Jadrian Tracey and Kario Oquendo who both started in Fort Myers and ended up in Eugene.

Lindsay was a 2nd Team All-Southern Conference selection for the Bucs last season when he averaged 10.7 points per game and shot 50% from the field for FSW. This season as a sophomore he has bumped up his productivity to 12.3 points per game while more than doubling his efforts on the boards from a year ago, averaging 7.8 rebounds per game. Lindsay has scored in double figures in five of six FSW games this season while also pulling down 7 or more rebounds in five of six contests. Lindsay's best stretch as a Buc came late last season when he upped his career high in four straight games heading into the playoffs including a career best 27 point effort in an FSW win over Hillsborough to close out the regular season.

Lindsay will join an Oregon squad next year who is off to a 5-2 start to their 2023-2024 season. The Ducks have a pair of power five wins in the non-conference already, starting the season with a win over Georgia and most recently downing Michigan in overtime.  Tracey and Oquendo have combined to average just under 18 points per game for Oregon so far this season while shooting over 50% as a duo.

Lindsay is the second FSW sophomore to sign at the NCAA Division I level this season joining teammate Jaehshon Thomas who is headed to Radford.

Lindsay and the Bucs will be back in action at home this weekend as they host the FSW Classic at Suncoast Credit Union Arena. Friday the Bucs take on Monroe in a 7 PM tip while following that up with a battle against Elgin from Illinois on Saturday at 3 PM.
