Bucs Retool with Five Signees, Including a Pair of Division I Transfers

FORT MYERS, FLA.- On the heels of a 30-3 campaign and their second straight Suncoast Conference Championship, Florida SouthWestern State Head Coach Eric Murphy has announced the signing of five new student-athletes to bolster the Buccaneers roster for the 2019-20 season.

Berrick JeanLouis | 6'4, 190 lbs. | Lehigh Acres, Fla., Canterbury School | New Mexico State University

JeanLouis returns home to play for the Bucs after a season at New Mexico State where he played in 15 games for the best Aggie team in program history. He scored a season high 10 against Eastern New Mexico early in the season and later had an eight point performance for the WAC Champion Aggies in a conference tilt against Chicago State.

Coach Murphy on JeanLouis- "Berrick is a tremendous athlete. I have watched him grow as a player over the past three years and he still has room to improve. We are so excited to have Berrick as a part of our program and watch him continue to grow as a player next season. It was important to the staff and myself to get Berrick to be a part of the program and help us continue to build upon the success that we had last year."

Hasahnn Reynolds Jr. | 6'4, 170 lbs. | Atlanta, Ga., Discovery High School

Reynolds played his senior season at Discovery High School outside of Atlanta after playing his first three years of high school ball at Immokalee High School.  He was a 15 point per game scorer during his four year high school career and put up nearly 20 points per game his final three years as a prep.

Coach Murphy on Reynolds- "I have had my eye on Hasahnn for three years now after he attended our Elite camp the summer going into his 10th grade year. I knew after seeing him at the camp that we would recruit him if he needed to go the Junior College route. Hasahnn has improve as a player and we are excited to see him to continue to grow as a player in a Bucs uniform."

Ralph Bissainthe | 6'6, 205 lbs. | Miami, Fla., McArthur High School | University of Illinois-Chicago

Bissainthe will have one season to play with the Bucs after spending the past two at UIC.  This season as a redshirt freshman, Bissainthe saw action in 10 games for the Flames, playing a season high 11 minutes midway through the year against St. Francis.

Coach Murphy on Bissainthe- "Ralph is a long athlete. He is versatile and can play multiple positions and defend multiple positions on the floor. We were recruiting Ralph before he committed to UIC two years ago, so I have watched him for three years now. I have always liked his game and versatility that he brings to the game. We are excited to have him on board.

Jermaine Marshall | 6'6, 205 lbs. | Hueytown, Ala., DME Academy

A double-double machine, Marshall will play for the Bucs next season after spending last season at DME Academy.  Prior to that, he played at Hueytown High School in Alabama where he averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds per game as a junior.

Coach Murphy on Marshall- "Jermaine is another long athlete that can play and defend multiple positions. He is competitive and plays very hard every time he steps out on the court. We are excited that he chose to come here."

Terry Roberts | 6'3, 175 lbs. | Amityville, N.Y., Believe Prep

A New York native, Roberts comes to FSW from Believe Prep in South Carolina where he played last season.

Coach Murphy on Roberts- "Terry is a combo guard who brings a lot of dimension to our team. He can score, defend, be a true point guard, play off the ball, whatever he has to help the team win. We are excited that he chose to come here and play, he brings a scoring punch that we need point guard position."
