Bucs Climb Four Spots To #12 In National Rankings

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers climbed four spots in the NJCAA National Rankings on Monday, moving to their highest spot of the 2024 season at #12 in the week eight poll.

The Bucs went 3-1 last week, taking a midweek contest 8-3 over South Florida State before winning two out of three against defending National Champions Central Florida in Citrus Conference play over the weekend. FSW moved to  31-15 overall and 20-7 in conference action with the results where they continue to hold pole position in the league standings with six games left to go.

Iowa Western led the week eight poll for the second straight week while Gaston, Johnson County, Florence-Darlington, and Georgia Highlands made up the rest of the top five.  The Bucs are one of just three FCSAA teams in the poll as they are joined by #11 Northwest Florida and #20 Chipola.

FSW is back in action on Tuesday at home when they host TNXL Academy in a non-conference contest before opening a big three game series with Miami Dade Thursday on the road in Miami.
