Bucs Jump Back Into NJCAA Rankings After Weekend Sweep

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers rode their five game winning streak right back into the NJCAA National Rankings this week, checking in at #17 in the week two poll.

The Bucs improved to 17-6 last week, sweeping all four games against St. Petersburg and Hillsborough. The Bucs weekend sweep over the Hawks jolted them to 8-1 in Citrus Conference play, giving them a three game lead on the pack atop the standings.

Gulf Coast, Gaston, Weatherford, Iowa Western, and Pensacola made up the week two top five.  The Bucs joined Gulf Coast, Pensacola, and Northwest Florida at #16 to give the FCSAA four teams in the Top 20.

The Bucs have another big week ahead as they travel to Indian River Tuesday for a 5 PM contest before starting a three game set with old Suncoast Conference rival State College of Florida at 2 PM Thursday at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers.
