O'Leary Headed to Queen City
FORT MYERS, Fla.- Florida SouthWestern righthander Logan O'Leary is headed to the Queen City next season after signing at the University of North Carolina Charlotte on National Signing Day. 
 
O'Leary played his freshman season at Hillsborough Community College where he threw a team high 78 1/3 innings over 16 appearances for the Hawks.  He was 5-4 with a 4.37 ERA, striking out 63 and walking just 27.  He threw five scoreless innings against Lake Sumter in his second collegiate outing and tossed six scoreless frames, striking out seven against Seminole State.  
 
O'Leary will follow in the footsteps of his FSW pitching coach Evan Michelson who played for the 49ers during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.  Charlotte won 36 games a season ago, capturing the Conference USA Championship and qualifying for the NCAA Tournament where they won a pair of games in the Knoxville Regional.  
 
O'Leary is of 11 overall early signees for the Bucs this season joining Justin Thomas (Arkansas), Landon O'Donnell (Florida State), Jared Davis (Virginia Tech), Victor Figueroa and Isaac Upole (Pittsburgh), Alex Walsh (Oklahoma State),  Luca Danos (Loyola Marymount), Reyn Watson & Nate Earley (Appalachian State), and Jahir Perez (Southeastern).
