FORT MYERS, Fla.- Florida SouthWestern sophomore and Fort Myers native Yariel Diaz is headed North next season after signing with the Knights of Middle Georgia State. 

Diaz played in 21 games behind the plate for the Bucs this season, hitting .241 with 10 runs scored while fielding .963 in 134 chances. He had a pair of multi-hit games against Elgin and TNXL Academy, driving in runs in both contests. 

Diaz will join a Middle Georgia squad coming off of a 30 win season in which they went 16-8 in Southern States Athletic Conference action. 

He is one of three Bucs to sign at the next level so far this season joining AJ Shaver (Troy) and Marty Gair (Florida Gulf Coast).
