Shaver Becomes First FSW Hitter to Earn All-American Honors
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Florida SouthWestern State slugger AJ Shaver was rewarded for the best single offensive season in Buccaneer history on Monday as the Clermont, Florida native was named a 2nd Team NJCAA All-American as released by the National Office. He is the first FSW hitter in program history to earn All-American accolades.

Shaver shattered FSW single season records this season with a .403 average and 19 home runs, topping the Bucs previous season high by 7.  He also ripped 24 doubles which equaled the program single season record, set last season by now Los Angelas Dodger farmhand Jose Izarra. His 63 RBIs this season was the most by any FSW hitter in program history, until his teammate Derek Williams topped that later in the year to make Shaver settle for second all time. He was one of just five players in the NJCAA Division I ranks this season to post at least 20 doubles and steal at least 20 bases.

Shaver was one of six FCSAA players to be named to the All-American teams.

Shaver's All-American selection marks the fourth straight season the Bucs have had an All-American joining Ryan Gusto (2019), Antonio Knowles (2021), and Magnus Ellerts (2022).
