FCSAA Suspends All Competitions Through March 28th
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- Due to the continued concern of COVID-19 the the FCSAA has suspended all competitions, effective immediately, through March 28th.   At that time, the organization's Council of Presidents will reaccess the situation and determine whether they feel competition between teams is safe once again.

Florida SouthWestern Athletic Director George Sanders was supportive of the FCSAA's decision saying "Our primary responsibility is to our student-athletes, coaches, staff, fans, and all others that made our teams tick.  In this uncertain time, we fully support the decision of our organization to air on the side of caution to keep those people as safe as possible.  We will immediately begin looking into the feasibility of rescheduling the games that will be missed and try to find a solution that is equitable for all of the teams involved."

The FSW Baseball team will miss 10 games beginning on Friday when they were scheduled to start a three game series with South Florida State.  The FSW Softball team will miss nine games including their scheduled Suncoast Conference opener Saturday at South Florida State.  The suspension doesn't effect the FSW Basketball teams any further as earlier Thursday, it was announced that the NJCAA National Basketball Tournaments, which both Buccaneer teams have qualified for, would be postponed from their March 16th scheduled starts to April 20th.

As of now, all teams will be permitted to continue practicing as usual.
