Bucs National Tournament Star Zibecchi Inks With T-Birds
FORT MYERS, Fla.- After winning back to back NJCAA National Championships with the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers, right side hitter Victoria Zibecchi will reconnect with 2022 FSW teammate Arianna Rossi in the Beehive State next season after signing her National Letter of Intent with Southern Utah University on Spring signing day in Suncoast Credit Union Arena.

Zibecchi was big for the Bucs all season as a sophomore this fall, playing in all 32 matches and earning 1st Team All-Citrus Conference and FCSAA 1st Team All-State honors while averaging 3.10 kills per set and hitting .306 on the year. She was one of just five players Nationally to finish the season with over 3.00 kills per set and over a .300 hitting percentage. Zibecchi came up huge for the Bucs during their National Tournament run, finishing FSW's four matches in Hutchinson with 53 kills and just two errors, good for a .451 hitting percentage and 4.08 kills per set including 15 in the Bucs NJCAA National Championship match victory over Miami Dade. For her efforts she was named to the National Tournament All-Tournament Team.

In her two seasons in Fort Myers Zibecchi helped lead FSW to a 58-2 overall record, a pair of Conference Championships, two FCSAA State Championships, and back to back NJCAA National Championships.

Zibecchi will look to take her winning ways to Cedar City to help the Thunderbirds  build on a 6-20 overall record from a season ago. With Southern Utah she will team up with former Buc Arianna Rossi who played in 22 games for the T-Birds last season, finishing second on the team with 276 total digs.

The entire 2024 FSW sophomore class has now inked with NCAA Division I programs including Zibecchi to Southern Utah, Roberta Purashaj (Oregon), Alondra Alarcon (UNLV), Izzy Collier (Marshall), Giulia Bonifacio (Louisiana Tech), Anica Bobic (San Francisco), and Madu Fontes (Idaho).
