Two Time National Champ Collier Signs With Thundering Herd
FORT MYERS, Fla.- After two record breaking seasons with the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers, sophomore Izzy Collier will be headed for the hills of West Virginia after signing her National Letter of Intent to play at Marshall University next season.

Collier put together quite a two year resume with the Bucs, leading FSW to back to back NJCAA National Championships and a 58-2 career record in her time in Fort Myers. She became just the second player in program history to record 200 total blocks and her 35 solo blocks puts her #1 in FSW history.

As a sophomore this season Collier was a 1st Team All-Region VIII and 1st Team All-Citrus Conference selection, averaging 1.67 kills per set and hitting a league best .417 on the offensive side of the ball and putting up 1.25 blocks per set defensively which ranked 2nd in the state of Florida and in the top 10 Nationally this season.

Collier was a prime performer when the Bucs needed her most, earning FCSAA State Tournament All-Tournament Team honors in 2022 and coming up big once again in the 2023 postseason with 8 kills on 9 swings and also 5 blocks in the Bucs National Quarterfinal win over Southern Idaho.

Collier will join a Thundering Herd squad coming off of a 13-19 campaign in 2023.  Marshall picked up a win in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament over Southern Miss before ending their season at the hands of eventual Conference Champ and NCAA Tournament participant Texas State in the second round.

Collier is the first 2023 Buc to sign at the next level, but a number of other players have been on official visits and are expected to make their decisions soon, so stay tuned to FSWBucs.com for the latest updates.
