Purashaj Earns FCSAA Setter of the Week Honors For Third Time

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- For the third time this season, Florida SouthWestern sophomore setter Roberta Purashaj has been named the FCSAA Setter of the Week. 

Purashaj led the Bucs to two more wins last week including a 3-0 sweep of conference rival and #2 Miami Dade on the road.  She put together a huge stat line in the Bucs win over the Sharks, dishing out 37 assists while pulling up 11 digs and notching 5 blocks on the defensive side of the net.  Saturday she backed it up with another big performance, going for 33 assists and 6 digs while the Bucs hit .435 as a team in a sweep of Hillsborough. On the week Purashaj averaged 11.7 assists, 2.8 digs, and 0.8 blocks per set while helping the Bucs stay undefeated in Citrus Conference play. 

Purashaj is averaging 10.73 assists per set on the season which ranks 4th in the country while her offense is hitting at a .326 clip which leads all NJCAA Division I programs. 

Purashaj has now been named the FCSAA Setter of the Week three times this season and five times in her illustrious FSW career. 

Purashaj and the Bucs are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to the East Coast to take on Indian River for the first time this season with first serve scheduled for 5:30 PM in Fort Pierce.
