Rossi Tabbed FCSAA Defensive Player of the Week

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- For the second time this season, Florida SouthWestern State freshman libero Arianna Rossi has been named the FCSAA Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the State on Tuesday.

Rossi had a big week on the back line for the Bucs, averaging 5.00 digs per set in a pair of FSW wins. Tuesday against Eastern Florida State she pulled up 16 digs and had a pair of aces in a 3-0 FSW win over the Titans and Thursday she came up big again with 14 digs in a 3-0 sweep of #17 Hillsborough to seal up the Suncoast Conference Championship for the Bucs.

Rossi has 17 matches this season with 10 or more digs and leads FSW with 3.95 digs per set on the season.

Rossi will have to share the spotlight tonight as the Bucs are back in action in Suncoast Arena at 6 PM on Sophomore Night where FSW will honor their eight sophomores playing in their final Suncoast Conference home game in Fort Myers.
