Lindsay's Career Effort Earns Him FCSAA Player of the Week Honors

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- On the heels of a career high 33 point performance in an upset win over #19 Eastern Florida on Saturday, Florida SouthWestern sophomore Dezdrick Lindsay has been named the FCSAA Player of the Week as announced by the state office Tuesday. 

Lindsay shot 53% from the field and 55% from three point range, leading the Bucs to a 2-0 week, averaging 23.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. Wednesday Lindsay chalked up a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds while also dishing out 6 assists in a 100-80 FSW win over Albany Tech.  Saturday he upped his game to the next level, scoring a career high 33 points and pulling down 10 rebounds as FSW outlasted #19 Eastern Florida State on the road 82-78 to open Citrus Conference play. 

On the season Lindsay leads the Bucs in both scoring with 15.2 points per game and rebounding with 7.6 a night while ranking second on the team in assists per game with 3.2.

Lindsay is the first Buc to be named FCSAA Player of the Week since Jadrian Tracey earned the honors in February of 2023. 

Lindsay and the Bucs are back in action on Wednesday when they hit the road to Lake Worth to take on Palm Beach State in non-conference action before playing their home conference opener Saturday at 2:00 against Hillsborough.
