FORT MYERS, Fla.- The #10 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers had no trouble Tuesday night in Suncoast Credit Union Arena, winning their eighth straight game in blowout fashion, crushing the visiting 212 Academy 108-48 to improve to 11-1 on the year.

Things started picture perfect for the Bucs who got a three from Kaiyem Cleary on their opening possession of the game and scored the first eight points of the ballgame to quickly jump out to an 8-0 lead on 212. Jaden Campbell cashed in a three moments later and CJ Lane did the same to stretch the Bucs lead to 20-8 eight minutes into the ballgame.  FSW continued to pour it on as Kario Oquendo picked up a steal and scored to make it a 20 point game and Cameron Stitt scored on a baby hook in the lane late in the half to put the finishing touches on a 48-19 led for the Bucs at the break.

As has become customary for the Bucs, it was showtime as the second half began.  Cleary picked up his nearly patented steal and soaring slam to make it 54-19 and an offensive rebound and putback from Modibo Sanogo gave FSW their first 40 point lead of the game at the midway point of the second half. The Bucs continued to pour it on as 212 had no answer for the multifaceted FSW attack.  The lead blew past 50 at 94-43 and got to 60 on Trace Darby's first career basket and that is where it would finish as the Bucs scored a season high 108 points in a 108-48 win over the Prep team from Sarasota.

All 13 dressed players had at least two points for the Bucs in the win. Six different players reached double figures in scoring including Oquendo who led the way with 13 and Stitt who had a career high 10 points and 9 rebounds.  FSW shot 49% in the game and held 212 to just 25% shooting while forcing 25 turnovers and parlaying them into 42 points.

FSW wins its eighth straight to improve to 11-1 on the year.

The Bucs will be back in Southern Conference action on Saturday when they travel to the Treasure Coast to take on Indian River in a matinee affair.
