CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers will head into the 2025 postseason ranked #3 after wrapping up the regular season 22-2 last week.
The Bucs earned their eighth ranked win of the year last week with a 3-0 sweep of #20 Daytona State to close out the 2025 regular season. The Bucs head to the postseason with a 22-2 record and as the #2 seed for the Region VIII Tournament after losing a deep tiebreaker to rival Miami Dade for the top spot in this weekend's event.
The top four in the week 10 rankings remained intact with Miami Dade leading Weatherford, FSW, and Northeastern while a Salt Lake loss opened up the #5 spot for Barton to slide in. The only other Region VIII team in the rankings was Daytona State who remained at #20 after their loss to the Bucs Wednesday.
The Bucs will return to the court on Friday when they host the FCSAA Championships at Suncoast Arena in Fort Myers. Their first test will come in the tournament semifinals at 7 PM when they take on the winner of Friday afternoon's Daytona State/Polk State matchup.
