Bucs Fall to Third After First Loss in Two Months

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Despite losing for the first time in nearly two months last week, the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers fell two spots to #3 in the Week 9 NJCAA National Rankings released on Monday.

The Bucs split a pair of matches last week, defeating Eastern Florida 3-1 to run their win streak to 17 before falling 3-1 in a hard fought battle to #3 Miami Dade in a National Championship Game rematch on Saturday.  The Bucs now sit at 21-2 overall and 10-1 in Citrus Conference play heading into their final match of the regular season on Wednesday against #20 Daytona State.

Miami Dade traded spots with the Bucs, taking over the top spot in the poll while Weatherford remained at #2 in front of the FSW despite a 3-0 sweep for the Bucs over the Coyotes earlier this season. Northeastern and Salt Lake remained at #4 and #5 to round out the top five in the rankings.

The Bucs will have a crack at earning their eighth win over a ranked opponent this season on Wednesday in their 2025 regular season finale as they host #20 Daytona State on Sophomore Night in Suncoast Arena with FSW's eight sophomores being recognized in a pregame ceremony.
