FORT MYERS, Fla.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers will have a #1 National Ranking next to their name ahead of a pair of big Citrus Conference matchups this week in Suncoast Arena.
The Bucs hold down the #1 spot in the NJCAA Poll again this week after defeating Polk State to improve to 20-1 on the year and extend their season long win streak to 16 games.
The Top 5 in the rankings were untouched with FSW leading Weatherford, Miami Dade, Northeastern, and Salt Lake. Barton and Trinity Valley made big jumps to #6 and #7 while Utah State-Eastern and Colby both dropped out of the Top 10.
The Bucs return to the floor on Wednesday as they begin a three game home stand to close out the regular season. They will host Eastern Florida Wednesday at 6 PM before welcoming their arch rivals, the #3 Miami Dade Sharks to town Saturday at 2 PM for a rematch of each of the past three NJCAA National Championship Games.
