CHARLOTTE, N.C.- After stretching their season long win streak to 15 games last week with a pair of victories in Citrus Conference play, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained the #1 team in the week seven NJCAA Division I National Rankings on Tuesday.
FSW cruised to 19-1 on the year last week, earning a 3-1 victory on the road against Hillsborough before dispatching Santa Fe at home in Suncoast Credit Union Arena Saturday 3-0. The wins extended the Bucs win streak to 15 which includes 10 sweeps during the stretch.
The top three in the poll remained unbothered with FSW continuing to lead the way in front of Weatherford and Miami Dade while Northeastern and Salt Lake slid up a spot to #4 and #5 after Odessa was upset by Frank Phillips last week to fall to #6. Mineral Area shot up three spots to #14 after a strong showing in their home tournament over the weekend while Trinity Valley fell five spots to #12 after an equally tough time in their trip to Missouri.
FSW will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Winter Haven for their final Citrus Conference road match of the season at Polk State.
