Bucs Continue Reign Atop National Rankings
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers solidified their spot atop the NJCAA National Rankings this week, earning road victories against #2 Miami Dade and #18 Daytona State to remain #1 for the fourth consecutive week.

FSW improved to 17-1 on the year last week, coming from behind twice for wins over the Sharks and Falcons in Citrus Conference play. The wins give the Bucs seven wins over Top 20 ranked opponents this season including four over Top 10 ranked foes. In the week six poll, the Bucs have wins over #2, #3, #6, #7, #10, #14, and #16.

Behind FSW, Weatherford jumped Miami Dade to #2 while Odessa and Northeastern round out the Top 5. There was some shuffling at the bottom of the rankings as Casper moved up four spots to #15 while Eastern Arizona climbed three spots to #13. Utah State-Eastern, Mineral Area, and Frank Phillips each fell three spots to #10, #17, and #18 respectively.

The Bucs are back in action on Wednesday as they begin the second half of the Citrus Conference schedule on the road at Hillsborough. They return home Saturday, October 11th when they host Santa Fe in a 2 PM start. The Bucs encourage fans to bring wrapped candy that will be donated for the James Stephens Elementary Fall Festival.
