Bucs Remain #1, Set Up Wednesday Showdown With Sharks
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers remained #1 in the NJCAA National Rankings on Tuesday, setting up yet another epic showdown vs. the Miami Dade Sharks on Wednesday, who checked in at #2 in the week five poll.

FSW ran their win streak to 11 last week, earning a pair of victories in very different fashions. Wednesday the Bucs made short work of Polk State in a Citrus Conference sweep, their ninth consecutive 3-0 win, but Saturday they went the distance and then some in a five set thriller against #16 Eastern Florida on the road, eventually outlasting the Titans 3-2 after a 22-20 fifth set. The win over the Titans was the Bucs fifth of the season over a ranked opponent as they improved to 15-1 on the year.

There was no change at the top of the week five poll with FSW heading a top five that included Miami Dade, Weatherford, Odessa, and Northeastern. Barton was the lone team in the Top 20 to move more than one spot, falling from #8 to #12 after a five set loss to #11 Colby while Indian Hills slipped back into the poll in the final spot.

For the sixth time in the past three seasons, FSW and Miami Dade will collide Wednesday in Miami as the #1 and #2 teams in the country. The Bucs and Sharks will get things underway at 6 PM with first place in the Citrus Conference standings on the line.
