FSW Remains #1 in National Poll For Third Straight Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Following a pair of 3-0 sweeps last week, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained the top ranked team in the country for the third consecutive week on Monday, holding steady at #1 with their 14-2 record on the year.

The Bucs went 2-0 last week, extending their program best win streak to 11 while improving to 14-2 overall and 9-0 in Suncoast Conference play on the season.  Thursday the Bucs took care of State College of Florida in a three set sweep before downing Santa Fe 3-0 for the second time in a week to remain unbeaten in conference play.

There was nearly no change in the week six rankings as each of the top eight teams remained the same with Iowa Western, Blinn, Snow, and Miami Dade following in behind the Bucs in the top five.  The Bucs led four FCSAA squads in the Top 20 as they were joined by the aforementioned Sharks at #5, Hillsborough at #14, and Daytona State at #19.

The Bucs will take on their 10th ranked opponent of the season on Tuesday as they square off with #5 Miami Dade on the road with first serve scheduled for 6:00 PM.
