Bucs Drop One Spot In Top 25 Poll

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Split results at the 2022 Best Western Classic was good enough for the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers to keep a spot in the NJCAA Top 25 on Monday as the Bucs slid one spot down to #19 in the week three poll with their 5-2 record.

The Bucs saw action twice last week in Gainesville, dropping a 74-54 decision to #13 Eastern Florida on Friday before knocking off the home squad, Santa Fe, 67-63 in a thriller Saturday afternoon.  With the split the Bucs move to 5-2 on the year.

Trinity Valley, Northwest Florida, and Blinn remain the top three teams in the poll while Chipola and New Mexico both move up a spot to round out the Top 5.  FSW is one of six FCSAA teams in the poll this week including four in the Top 11.  Northwest Florida is the highest ranked team from the Sunshine State at #2 while Chipola checks in at #4, Gulf Coast State at #6, Eastern Florida at #11, and Indian River at #25.

The Bucs are idle until November 29th when they return to Suncoast Arena to take on St. Petersburg in the front end of a doubleheader with the FSW men.
