Bucs Blaze Past Suns

KISSIMMEE, Fla.- The #16 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers won their fourth consecutive game Tuesday night on the road at Johnson University, blazing past the Suns 94-45 with 11 different players getting into the scoring column.  
 
The Bucs jumped out to a big early lead and never looked back, taking a 24-7 lead after one quarter of action after shooting a red hot 56% in the first period.  
 
FSW continued to add to their lead as the second got underway, opening up a 20 point lead three minutes in before cruising into the half with a 46-20 advantage.  
 
Johnson finally showed some life as the third quarter began, but they couldn't slow down the Bucs as FSW put up 24 more points to build their lead to 70-36 as the teams went to the fourth. 
 
The Bucs played around with their rotation in the fourth, but no matter who Head Coach Dr. Jerald Ellis put out there, they clicked as FSW outscored the Suns 24-9 in the period to cruise to a 94-45 win at the final horn.  
 
FSW shot 47% from both the floor and beyond the arc in the win while dominating the glass, outreounding the Suns 51-25 in the win.  11 different players scored in the win for FSW including Jayla Murray who led the Bucs with her second double-double of the year with 15 points and 12 rebounds.  Sariana Rodriguez and Tyshonne Tollie also reached double figures for the Bucs with 13 each and Violette Skipworth chipped in 10 off the FSW bench in the win. 
 
The Bucs win their fourth straight to improve to 4-1 on the year while Johnson remains winless at 0-5. 
 
The Bucs are back in action next Monday on the road at DME Academy before continuing up to Jacksonville to take on FSCJ Tuesday night in the River City.
