Williams Earns NJCAA All-American Honors
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- For the fourth straight season, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers have an NJCAA All-American.  Tuesday, freshman Patience Williams was named a 3rd Team NJCAA All-American, capping her short, but sweet, FSW career with the pinnacle award in the sport.

Williams averaged just short of a double-double this season for the Bucs, putting up 13.1 points and 8.9 rebounds per game in 18 contests.  She shot 56% from the field which led FSW and also connected on 72% from the free throw line which was a team best as well. Williams was the Southern Conference Player of the Year this season while leading FSW to their fourth straight conference title.   She had five double-doubles on the season, including a pair of historic efforts, going for 31 points and 18 rebounds in a win over #25 Indian River in her first conference game of her career and later putting up a 32 point, 18 rebound performance against Palm Beach State.

Williams was one of five FCSAA student-athletes who earned All-American honors, joining Nia Daniels (Gulf Coast St.), De'Myla Brown (Chipola), Chanaya Pinto (Northwest Florida St.), and Domenica Zamora (St. Petersburg).

Williams selection marks the fourth straight season for FSW to have a player named All-American. She follows in the footsteps of Tina Stephens (2018 & 2019) and Za'Nautica Downs (2020) to earn the award.

She will play next season at the University of South Florida.
