Bucs Stick at #14 in Week 9 Poll

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers kept on winning last week, collecting two more victories to improve to 17-5 on the 2019-2020 season, but unfortunately for them, so did everyone else in front of them in the week nine NJCAA Top 25 Rankings as FSW remained at #14 and the top 13 teams stayed the same for the second straight week.

The Bucs rolled their win streak to five last week, blowing away Elite Prep 107-15 Wednesday before grinding out a 93-86 road win over #24 Eastern Florida State on Saturday in Suncoast Conference play.  With their offense now clicking, the Bucs have topped the 90 point mark in four straight games and are averaging 98.5 points per game during the stretch.

South Plains took over the top spot in the week nine poll while former #1 Gulf Coast State dropped to #3 after a loss to now #2 Chipola.  Trinity Valley and Tyler rounded out the top five again this week.  Spots 8-23 remained unchanged this week with the Bucs in the middle of that while New Mexico and Western Nebraska flopped spots at #6 and #7 and Gillette and Eastern Florida did the same in the final two spots of the poll.

The Bucs return to the court on Wednesday when they travel to St. Petersburg to kick off the second round of Suncoast Conference play with a 5:30 tip against the Titans.
