    For the second time during the 2024 regular season, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers and the Indian River Pioneers collided in an NJCAA Top 5 matchup Tuesday afternoon in Fort Pierce and for the second time the showdown ended in a split as #4 Indian River took game one 8-5 before #3 FSW captured game two 7-3 for their 50th win of the season. The Bucs reach the 50 win mark for the seventh time in eight complete seasons since their inception in 2016.

    It was a tale of two games for the #3 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers on Saturday at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers as FSW dominated the visiting Eastern Florida State Titans 11-0 in a five inning run rule in game one of the doubleheader before being forced to hang on late for a 6-5 win in game two to finish off the sweep and run their winning streak to 11 games.

    Three Florida SouthWestern pitchers shut down the top offense in the state on Thursday at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers as Lea Chevrier, Esmee Ames, and Leah Meyer combined to allow just two runs on the afternoon as the 4th ranked Bucs swept the 8th ranked Central Florida Patriots by scores of 8-1 and 4-1 to take over the top spot in the Citrus Conference standings with 10 games left to go.

    Going into Thursday's doubleheader against Polk State, Florida SouthWestern freshman Skylar Brennan had one career home run. She came out of the twinbill with triple that number as she launched longballs in both ends of the doubleheader with #3 FSW taking game one 5-2 and game two 12-0 to improve to 34-4 on the year.

For the 80th consecutive regular season poll, the Bucs were ranked inside the Top 5 this week, checking in at #3 with their 30-4 record on the year.

    In a day full of twists and turns, the #3 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were forced to settle for a split Saturday afternoon against the Eastern Florida State Titans as FSW scored five runs late in game one to sneak out a 5-4 win before Eastern ripped a walk off three run home run in extra innings in game two for a 7-6 win to split the doubleheader.

  • Bucs Split Top Five Showdown With Indian River

    In the early season NJCAA games of the year, the #3 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers squared off with the #4 Indian River State Pioneers in a matchup of two teams with a combined record of 37-2 on the year Thursday afternoon at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers. Runs were tough to come by in game one as the teams went the distance and then some, needing nine innings to ultimately find separation as Indian River squeaked out a 1-0 win in extras. In game two it was a different story as FSW battered six different Indian River pitchers for 14 runs in a 14-2 five inning run rule win to split the twinbill.
