Fuentes returned to Fort Myers as an Assistant Coach in 2019-20 after spending two standout seasons as a player at George Washington University. 
 
In Fuentes' first year as a coach with the Bucs, FSW went 23-2 and was ranked in the top five in the NJCAA Rankings for the duration of the Covid shortened season.  The Bucs earned wins over both defending National Champs Chipola and defending State Champs Central Florida.  The Bucs averaged 10.7 runs per game through the first half of the season and were hitting .434 at the time of the stoppage.  
 
In 2019 Fuentes led the Colonials to their first Atlantic-10 title in program history, hitting .333 in 47 games and leading the conference with 25 stolen bases.  As a junior, Fuentes set program records with 49 runs scored and 32 stolen bases while tying the club mark for hits in a year with 65. 

At FSW, Fuentes led the Bucs to a pair of trips to the NJCAA National Tournament, leaving as FSW's all-time leader in hits, runs, doubles, stolen bases, and batting average. She was a 2nd Team NJCAA All-American as a sophomore for the Bucs, piling up 99 hits and scoring 67 runs while stealing 59 bases which ranked third in the country.
